A quick history of Fireactiv
Fireactiv thermal support technology was started in 2012 to supply sports people, mainly golfers and rugby players, with self-heating joint supports.
The supports have been used by sports stars including England Rugby Union players and Champion Golfers. Giving support and comfort from aches and pains gained from these physically demanding sports.
Fast forward to 2023 and whilst researching products to stock on his sports recovery website, current owner Nic found Fireactiv and decided to give the products a try.
Being a retired amateur rugby union player, Nic has many aches, pains and niggles in his knees, neck and back, so was keen to find something to help with both pain relief and support for his knees.
Having used the products himself and sold them on his recovery website, Nic was interested in how he could work with the manufacturer to expand the range.
After some discussions on how to take the brand forward and to borrow Victor Kiam’s famous saying “I liked it so much, I bought the company.”
The Evolution of Fireactiv
Once he had bought the brand and stock, Nic and business partner Spencer, decided to expand the range from joint supports to include the large muscles in the body, the thigh, calf and bicep.
Designed using the same red and white pads of the joint supports, the muscle products are self-heating and offer an amount of compression to help with pain relief, recovery stiff muscles and injuries to deep tissue.
The latest addition to the product range is the SLIRP – Self-heating, Localised, Infrared, Reusable, Pad. A simple introduction to the concept of self-heating pads, the SLIRP can be used 200 times and is made from food-grade silicon impregnated with tourmaline minerals.
Not Just Muscle and Joint Supports
To complement the self-heating muscle and joint supports, Nic, who has a background in creating supplements with one of the biggest independent companies in the UK, decided to add three exciting products.
The supplements have been specifically designed to complement the muscle and joint supports with a recovery based Turmeric and ZMA capsule, an Energy Booster and Sleep Support Nootropic.
More supplements are planned to boost the Fireactiv Health and Wellbeing brand, each carefully selected to complement the core support part of the business.
